Along the valley floor – from Lenk to the Simmen Falls

Enjoy this leisurely walk along the valley floor from the village of Lenk to the Lenkerseeli and the AlpKultur® play area, and then finally to the Simmen Falls. A breathtaking panorama awaits you!

Be it a relaxed Sunday stroll or a family outing with a pushchair – the walk from the village to the Simmen Falls offers level terrain with views of the breathtaking Wildstrubel massif. Leaving the village, the route passes alongside the road towards the valley closure, then turns off towards Camping Neufeld. Following the tarmac road, you will reach the large AlpKultur® play area Lenkerseeli in no time. Children can let off steam to their hearts' content here, and the kiosk offers delicious ice-creams as well as coffees if you fancy a short break. After a small refreshment, the walk continues around the Lenkerseeli nature reserve where ducks happily quack as they paddle their circles. After the small Lenker lake, the path leads past meadows, through forests and the "Chlöpflisbergmoos". Soon you will be able to hear the rushing sounds of water; the spray-forming Simmen Falls are not far away. The path continues along the banks of the river Simme and ends at the Hotel Restaurant Simmenfälle. Its terrace allows you to admire the impressive Simmen Falls as well as keep an eye on the little ones, who can let off steam in the playground and marvel at the two goats.

If desired, the walk can be extended (unsuitable for pushchairs, however) to the Seven Springs, the source of the river Simme. The walk from the Hotel Restaurant Simmenfälle to the Seven Springs and back takes around 2 hours.
